our lens
Our Lens is a filmmaking program that empowers underserved youth in Lynn to build skills in audio and video production while creating digital media that sparks dialogue on social change. Participants receive hands-on training and mentorship to produce their own short films, exploring themes like housing inequality, mental health, and community development. This creative space fosters connection, healing, and a more equitable community.
At Audio Chemists, we believe in the power of media to inspire and transform. From our work with youth in Massachusetts, we’ve seen how media has served to amplify their voices and share their stories. Through our partnership with SPOKE’s YouthSPEAK program, where we trained young people in video and audio production to explore critical social issues, to our collaboration with Breaktime, where we provided hands-on training for young adults transitioning out of homelessness, we see the positive impact of providing youth living in poverty with access to creative tools and opportunities to further their creativity.
These experiences have been instrumental in shaping the Our Lens program, ensuring that participating youth receive the mentorship, resources, and support they need to tell their stories and drive meaningful change within their communities.
